Aadhaar Update History

• Login to UIDAI’s official portal
• Scroll down to the ‘Aadhaar Services’ section.
• Click on the ‘Aadhaar Authentication History’ option, so that you are redirected to another page. Mention your 16 digit VID or 12 digit UID, as per your preference. Next, enter the security code, as displayed on your screen. If you are unable to understand the code, you can click on the ‘Try Another’ option to generate a new security code.
• Select the ‘Send OTP’ option to generate a unique OTP that will be sent to your registered mobile number.
• You will be redirected to another page on the UIDAI website.
• Select the ‘Authentication Type’ as per the available options - OTP/ Biometric / Demographic / Demographic & Biometric / Demographic & OTP/ Biometric & OTP or Demographic & OTP.
• Mention the date range.
• Mention the number of records for authentication history that you would like to opt for, the maximum number being 50
• Mention the OTP that has been sent to your registered phone number.
• Click on ‘Submit’.
• Authentication history will be displayed on your screen.

Below are the simple steps by which you can check your Aadhaar card status: With your registered mobile number

• Type this message: UID STATUS <14 UED Number mentioned in acknowledgement card>
• Send SMS to 51969
• You will receive a reply from UIDAI, informing you about the current Aadhaar card update status

Without your mobile number being registered for Aadhaar

• Visit any Permanent Aadhaar Enrolment Center to register a new mobile number or update your mobile number
• Once you have updated your mobile number, you can know your Aadhaar card update status through a mobile SMS to UIDAI, according to the process mentioned above

Follow the below process to change your DOB in your Aadhaar card:

• Visit UIDAI’s Self Service Update Portal
• Read the instructions carefully and then select the ‘Proceed’ option
• Mention the 12-digit Aadhaar number
• Enter the verification code in the box and select the ‘Send OTP’ or ‘Enter TOTP’
• If you click on ‘Send OTP’, a unique OTP will be sent to your registered contact number. If you have selected the Enter TOTP’ option, you can access it on the mAadhaar app
• Enter the OTP/TOTP to login to your Aadhaar account
• Select the option you want to change, in this case your mobile number, and then select the ‘Submit’ option • Enter your new mobile number that you would like to update in your Aadhaar • Select the ‘Submit Update Request’ option • Click on the acknowledgement button to accept the terms and conditions and then click on the ‘Proceed’ option • Click on the type of document you want to submit as proof of your mobile number and upload a scanned copy of the document • Next, click on the ‘Submit’ button • Read the confirmation dialogue thoroughly and select the ‘Yes’ option • UIDAI gets in touch with you to confirm the details as a part of the verification process • Click on the ‘Submit’ option, so that the documents can be forwarded to the relevant department for the final stage of verification • You will receive an acknowledgement receipt that will comprise of a unique Update Request number (URN) that you may need for future reference • Once your mobile number has been successfully verified, the new information will be updated in your Aadhaar card

• You can access all the minute details of the updates you have made till date in Aadhaar.
• Your Aadhaar update history can be accessed only by you
• You can check and confirm that there are no inaccuracies in the details regarding the updates made by you in Aadhaar. This feature gives you the opportunity to report such entries to UIDAI, so that you can get them corrected immediately.
• Since this feature is not accessible offline, you would not be able to get the details of the changes made in your Aadhaar update history by visiting an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre in your locality.
• The Aadhaar Authentication History tool enables you to check and confirm their Aadhaar authentication online. Not just that, it also allows you to access other essential details like transaction ID, authentication method, etc.

You can check your Aadhaar card status by name through these steps:

• Visit UIDAI’s official website
• Choose from either of these available options – ‘Aadhaar No (UID)’ or ‘Enrolment No (EID)’
• Next, select the ‘You want to receive your lost:’ option
• Mention your full name, email ID and mobile number, followed by the Security Code displayed on your screen
• Then, select the ‘Get OTP’ option
• UIDAI will generate an OTP and send it to your mentioned contact number and/or email address
• Mention the OTP you received on your mobile number and/or email address
• Select the ‘Verify OTP’ button
• You will then receive a message on your mobile with your Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID, as mentioned by you earlier
• Now, to download e-Aadhaar, select the ‘Download E-Aadhaar by using your Aadhaar, EID or VID’ option on UIDAI’s official website or you can click on the mentioned link to get directed to the relevant page
• Click on ‘Enrolment ID’ or ‘Aadhaar’ under the ‘I have:’ section
• Mention your Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID, full name, mobile number, pin code, and then the Security Code, as displayed on screen
• Select the ‘Get OTP’ option for UIDAI to generate an OTP and send it to your mobile number and/or email ID
• Enter the OTP and then select the ‘Validate and Download’ option
• Mention your Pin Code as the password to open and view the PDF document
• Take a printout of the eAadhaar for future reference

You can update your Aadhaar card through any of these following methods:

You can check your Aadhaar card status through SMS by following these steps:

• Enter the 14-digit Enrolment Number or 28-digit EID
• Enter the date and time of your Aadhaar enrolment, as mentioned in your acknowledgment receipt that was given to you at the time of Aadhaar registration for the first time

• Visit any Aadhaar Enrolment Centre, as per your convenience
• Fill the Aadhaar Correction Form Enter the new contact number you want to update in Aadhaar
• Submit the form along with your biometrics details, that is, thumbprint to proceed with the authentication process
• You will receive an acknowledgement receipt that you need to keep carefully in case of future reference. This receipt mentions a Update Request Number (URN) that you will require to track the status of Aadhaar updates in the future, if required
