Linking your 12 digit aadhaar number to your Employee Provident Fund (EPF) has many advantages, especially for those employees who intend to withdraw money from their EPF account. A PF scheme, also known as a Provident Fund, is a plan where the employee and the employer jointly contribute towards a corpus fund which is received by an employee on retirement. The EPF account is represented through a Universal Account Number (UAN). Essentially the UAN has to be seeded with an aadhaar card to link the PF to it.
