Driving License in Hyderabad

Applying for a driving license in Hyderabad is a simple process as one can now easily do it online. First of all, before applying for a driving license in Hyderabad, an individual will have to procure a learner’s license. A person who holds a driving license can freely move his motor vehicle on Indian roads as a DL is a document that signifies that an individual has complete knowledge about traffic rules and regulations.

• Visit aptransport.in/tgcfstonline
• Click on ‘Fresh driving license’
• Enter the required details and select a test centre where you want to appear for the test.
• If you are not able to schedule a test online, then visit the nearest RTO to book a slot for the test.
• If the slot is booked online, then visit the RTO Office with the required documents.
• Once the documents are verified, pay the fees.
• Appear for the driving test. If you pass the test, your DL will be delivered at your doorstep via speed post.
• An applicant can also apply for a driving online in Hyderabad through parivahan.gov.in.

Offline application process for application of Driving License in Hyderabad

• Visit your nearest RTO office.
• Collect the application form and fill it with the required details such as your name, address, date of birth, learner’s license number, etc.
• Book a slot for your DL test.
• Appear for the test.
• If your pass the test, the driving license will be issued to you within a few days’ time.

Ideally, in the city of Hyderabad, a driving license issued for a transport vehicle is valid for 3 years, while for other vehicles, a driving license issued for all other vehicles is valid for 5 years or until the age of 50. On the expiry of the DL, an applicant should renew his driving license.

Procedure for application of renewal of driving license in Hyderabad

An applicant can renew the driving license through aptransport.in/tgcfstonline or parivahan.gov.in. The applicant can also visit the nearest RTO office to renew the DL. On verification of the form and documents, the renewed license will be issued to the applicant. An applicant can renew his driving license within 30 days from the date of expiry. If the applicant renews the driving license within a period of 5 years from the date of expiry, then he will have to pay a penalty of Rs. 1000 for every year of delay.
