Liability to Third Parties

The insurance company shall indemnify the policyholder in case of an accident caused by or resulting from the use of the vehicle against all amounts which the insured shall become liable to pay in respect of:

i) demise or bodily injury to any person, so far as it is necessary to meet the requirements of Motor Vehicles Act

ii) damage to property to the tune of maximum Rs. 7,50,000/- other than property belonging to the policyholder or held in trust or in the custody or control of the insured.

Personal Accident Cover for Owner-Driver

The company shall pay compensation up to a limit of Rs. 2 lakhs on the basis of the following scale for bodily injury/ death sustained by the owner-driver of the vehicle in direct connection with the vehicle covered or while mounting into/dismounting from or traveling in the covered vehicle as a co-driver, caused by violent accidental external and visible means, which independent of any other cause, shall within 6 calendar months of such injury result in:

Loss of or Damage to Vehicle Insured

The insurer shall indemnify the policyholder against loss or damage to the insured vehicle hereunder and/or its accessories whilst thereon:

By ﬁre, explosion self-ignition or lightning
By burglary, housebreaking or theft
By accidental external means
By malicious act
By riot and strike
By earthquake (Fire and Shock Damage)
By ﬂood, typhoon, hurricane, storm, tempest, inundation, cyclone, hailstorm, frost
By terrorist activity
While in transit by road rail inland - water way lift elevator or air
By landslide, rockslide

Subject to the limits of liability as laid down in the Schedule hereto, the policyholder shall be indemnified for an accident caused by or resulting from the use of the vehicle against all sums which the policyholder shall become legally liable to pay with regards to:

(i) Death of or injury to any individual including occupants carried in the vehicle (provided such occupants are not carried for hire or reward), but except so far as it is necessary to meet the requirements of Motor Vehicles Act, the insurer shall not be liable where such death or injury arises out of and during the course of the employment of such person by the insured.

(ii) Property damage other than property belonging to the insured or held in trust or in the custody or control of the policyholder.

Liability to Third Parties

The company shall indemnify the insured in the event of an accident caused by or arising out of the use of the vehicle against all sums which the policyholder shall become legally liable to pay with regards to:

(i) Death of or injury to any individual, including vehicle occupants (provided they are not carried for hire or reward), but except so far as it is necessary to meet the requirements of Motor Vehicles Act, the insurer shall not be liable where such demise or injury arises out of and in the course of the employment of such person by the insured.

(ii) Property damage to the tune of maximum Rs. 7,50,000/- other than property of the insured or held in trust or in the custody or control of the insured.

Home Insurance

Long Term Home Insurance covers all the properties that are normally exposed to the risk of fire and allied perils along with a wide scope of cover for assets against a number of natural and man-made perils.

Eligibility

This Policy is designed for:

Individuals living in flats or independent houses provided that the external walls are of /stone/concrete blocks/burnt bricks and RCC/RBC/tiles/ACC roof.
Multi-year Policy can be availed by house/flat owners only wherein coverage for building only for a period of 3 to 30 years.

Covered Accidents:

Fire: Excluding destruction or damage caused to the property by:
- Its own fermentation, natural heating or spontaneous combustion
- It going through any heating or drying process b. Burning of insured property on the order of a public authority.
Lightning
Explosion/Implosion: Excluding loss, destruction of or damage:
- To boilers (other than domestic boilers), economizers or other vessels, machinery or apparatus (where steam is generated) or their contents resulting from their own explosion/implosion,
- Caused by centrifugal forces.
Aircraft Damage: Loss, destruction or damage caused by aircraft, other aerial or space devices and articles dropped there from excluding those caused by pressure waves.
Riot, strike and malicious damage: Loss, damage or destruction by violent means, directly caused to the covered property, but excluding those caused by:
- Complete or partial cessation of work or the retardation or interruption or cessation of any process or operations or omissions of any kind.
- Permanent or temporary dispossession of any building or plant or unit or machinery due to the unlawful occupation by any individual of such building or plant or unit or machinery or prevention of access to the same.
- Permanent or temporary dispossession as a result of confiscation, commandeering, requisition or destruction by government order.
- Burglary, housebreaking, larceny, theft, or any such attempt or any omission of any kind of any person in any malicious act.
Storm, typhoon, tempest, cyclone, hurricane, tornado, flood and inundation: Loss destruction or damage caused by cyclone, tempest, typhoon, storm, hurricane, flood or inundation, with the exception of those due to volcanic eruption or other convulsions of nature.
Impact Damage: Loss of or visible damage or destruction caused to the property covered as a result of impact by any rail/road vehicle or animal by direct contact not belonging to or owned by:
- The policyholder or any occupier of the premises or
- Their employees while acting in the course of their employment
Subsidence and Landslide including rock slide: Loss, destruction or damage directly caused by subsidence of part of the site on which the property stands or Landslide/Rockslide excluding:
- The normal cracking, settlement or bedding down of new structures
- Construction, demolition, structural alterations or repair of any property or groundwork or excavations
- The settlement or movement of made up ground
- Coastal or river erosion
- Defective design or workmanship or use of defective materials
Bursting and/or overflowing of apparatus, water tanks and pipes.
Missile testing operations.
Leakage from automatic sprinkler installations, excluding loss, destruction or damage caused by
- Repairs or alterations to the buildings or premises
- Defects in construction known to the policyholder
- Repairs, removal or extension of the sprinkler installation
Bush fire, excluding loss, destruction or damage caused by forest fire

Loan Protection

Loan Care Policy provides security against liabilities/loan in any uncertain event of specified various major medical illness and procedures, death due to accident, permanent total & permanent partial disability. This policy takes care of loan repayment for 3 months in the event of job loss. Similarly, it comes with child education benefit that will assist the insured take care of his or her child’s studies.

With Loan Care, an individual will get cover for critical illness and personal accident. The policy provides comprehensive coverage for up to 25 major medical illness and procedures. An individual can choose from different plans, namely Standard-9, Enhance-12, Premium-15, Elite -18 and Ultima-25 Major Medical Illness and Procedures. If the insured contracts any of the said illnesses during the policy period, the company shall pay the sum insured. Personal Accident Benefits covers the policyholder up to the sum insured mentioned in the policy documents, towards payment of his/her loan resulting from an injury arising out of an accident, sustained during the policy tenure, resulting in death or permanent total disability or permanent partial disability, as the case may be, within 12 months of the occurrence of such injury.
