Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana is a cashless health insurance scheme developed by the State Government of Rajasthan. Under this scheme, every eligible member is provided treatment benefits of upto Rs. 30,000 for general illnesses and Rs. 3 lakhs for critical diseases. Individuals who are covered under National Food Security Act (NFSA) and Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) are eligible for Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana. Until September, 92.54 lakh families were covered under the scheme, according to news reports.

This cashless health insurance scheme allows for cashless treatment, covering all the hospitalisation expenses incurred by the member.
The member can obtain medical treatment benefits up to Rs. 30,000 for general illnesses and Rs. 3 lakhs in case of critical illnesses.
Treatment is provided via government hospitals and private network hospitals.
Pre-hospitalisation medical expenses are covered for up to 7 days before being admitted in a hospital.
Post-hospitalisation medical expenses are covered for up to 15 days following discharge from the hospital

Given that this is a cashless treatment scheme, the state government will bear all the medical expenses of the member (who is admitted in the network hospital) within the approved package limit. The individual will have to show the policy card and other personal identification proof at the time of admission in the hospital. The treatment will commence once the authorisation is obtained.

Valid Photo ID of patient
Valid ID of BSBY beneficiaries (copy of ration card or RSBY card)
Patient's photograph at the time of admission
Patient's photograph at the time of discharge
