This is a lump sum amount (5x of the Daily Benefit) payable to the patient irrespective of the actual cost. This is provided in order to meet expenses arising out of any day care procedures.
This is a daily benefit amount payable in case of an accident or sickness where you have been required to stay in the hospital for a continuous period of 24 hours.
If a particular surgery is covered under Major Surgical Benefit, the respective benefit percentage is paid to the patient in case of surgery, accidental injury or illness.
In case a conducted surgery is not covered under the policy, a daily benefit which is 2x the applicable daily benefit will be paid to the policyholder for an extended period of 24 hours.
Under this plan, you will be provided emergency transportation costs (up to ₹1,000) to cover ambulance expenses whenever a major surgery is not successful.
In case of an event where Major Surgical Benefits falls under Category 1 or Category 2, your entire annualized premium for one year will be waived off.

No, LIC provides a lumpsum amount under a Quick Cash facility to the insured under the Jeevan Arogya Policy. If the insured undergoes any eligible major surgery at any of the LIC’s listed network hospitals, (s)he can avail of the Quick Cash Facility. Under the facility, LIC provides up to 50% of the Major Surgical Benefit amount as advance to the Insured even during hospitalisation. The facility can be availed for planned or emergency procedures. The disbursal of the advance amount is subject to approval by the TPA or the LIC representative. The amount disbursed ensures that the insured does not face any financial issues during his / her hospitalisation. The amount is later adjusted from the final claim amount.
