National Janata Personal Accident Policy specialises in covering individuals as well as families for death, and permanent total disability and permanent partial disability. For children, the entry age starts from 10 years, while adults of at least 18 years of age are covered under this plan. The maximum age for being covered under National Janata Personal Accident Policy is 70 years. The policy term ranges between 1 year and 5 years.
The sum insured ranges from a minimum of Rs. 25,000 to a maximum of Rs. 1 lakh annually. The rate of premium is Rs. 15 for a sum insured of every Rs. 25,000. This implies that the premium increases by Rs. 15 for every additional sum assured of Rs. 25,000. Discounts on group policies are applicable according to number of members in the group.

The Coverages of National Janata Personal Accident Policy are:
Accidental Death: This refers to the death of the insured person as a result of bodily injury due to accident, violent, external and visible means leading to death within 12 calendar months from the date of occurrence of the accidental injury.
Permanent Total Disablement: Here, the payouts are applicable for bodily injuries caused by accidental, violent, external and visible means leading to Permanent Total Disablement due to an accident.
Permanent Partial Disablement: The compensation is for bodily injury caused by accidental, violent, external and visible means leading to Permanent Partial Disablement within 12 calendar months from the date of occurrence of the accidental injury.
