Delhi NCR RTO

The RTO office of Delhi was established under section 213 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The department deals with regulatory and enforcement functions assigned to it to carry out transport related matters. It is also responsible to carry out organised public transport system in the national capital city of Delhi and other regions that come under NCR.

The Delhi NCR RTO department comes under Department of Transport, Delhi and is headed by the Transport Commissioner.

A motor insurance policy is mandatory for every vehicle registered at Delhi NCR RTO as per The Motor Vehicle Act, 1988.
