Patiala RTO

The Patiala RTO functions under the provisions of section 213 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The Patiala RTO comes under the regulation of Punjab Motor Vehicles Department. The Regional Transport Office of Patiala is responsible for the collection of taxes, issuance of driving licenses, learning licenses and many other transport related services. The main objective of the Patiala RTO is to build a safe and effective transport road transport system for the betterment of the citizens of the city.

A motor insurance policy is mandatory for every vehicle registered at Patiala RTO as per The Motor Vehicle Act, 1988.
