IFFCO Tokio policy is to insure for any private bike which covers Own Damage Bike insurance and also, Third-party liability insurance, which helps Bike owners at the time when needed – in case of any accident or mishaps.

Types of Coverage

• Own Damage: This policy cover any damage or loss to the owner’s Bike due to any of the following things:

• Fire, explosion and self-ignition.
• Flood, inundation, typhoon, hurricane, storm, tempest, cyclone, hailstorm, frost, lightning, earthquake, landslide, rockslide.
• Burglary or theft
• Riots, strike, malicious or terrorist activities
• Accidental external damage, damage in transit by road, rail, inland waterway, lift, elevator or air.

• Third Party or Liability: As this policy is mandatory by the Motor Vehicle Act 1988, it is provided by IFFCO Tokio Private Bike Insurance Policy which covers any injuries or property damages to the third party.

• Personal accident cover : Under this cover by IFFCO Tokio General Insurance that provides you a sum insured in case of Accidental Death or Permanent Total Disablement with a coverage of Rs. 100,000 (1 lakh) for an individual owner-driver of the insured vehicle.

• No-Claim Bonus: The no-claim bonus is a discount offered on the next year’s premium.
• If you make no claims throughout the year, you are benefitted with the huge discount on the next year’s premium.

• Mechanical or electrical breakdown, depreciation, wear and tear.
• Vehicle being driven under the influence of intoxicating liquor/drugs.
• Vehicle being driven without a valid licence.
• Vehicle being used in contravention of limitations as to use (e.g. for hire or reward, organised racing or speed testing etc.).
• War and nuclear perils.
• Damage to tyres/tubes unless insured two wheeler vehicle is damaged in the same incident, in which case 50% of replacement cost will be paid.
• Loss of accessories by theft, unless vehicle is stolen at the same time.

Required steps and supporting documents:

a) In case of Accident

• Immediately contact IFFCO Tokio on their toll-free number 1800 103 5499 or SMS "CLAIM" to 56161
• Lodge a claim with duly signed Claim Form
• Copy of Driving License, RC book, Policy document
• FIR, if required (Kindly note down, contact details of people and vehicle number involved in accident)
• Original Repair Estimate Bill
• In case of cashless service, only Invoice receipt
• In case of reimbursement provide estimate bill, original invoice and payment receipt

b) In case of Theft

• Immediately contact IFFCO Tokio on their toll-free number 1800 103 5499
• Lodge the claim with duly signed claim form
• Original keys with Copy of Driving License, RC book, Policy document
• Police FIR copy
• Duly signed Form 26, 28, 29, 30 and Form 35.
• Final confirmation with “No Trace Report” of the insured vehicle from the police

c) In case of Third Party Claims

• Immediately contact IFFCO Tokio on their toll-free number 1800 103 5499
• Lodge the claim with duly signed claim form
• Police FIR copy
• Copy of Driving License, Policy and vehicle’s RC book

Step-wise guide to claim

• The first things to make a claim is to call on IFFCO Tokio General Insurance’s Toll-Free Helpline number – 1800 103 5499
• Take appointment with the surveyor and take your vehicle to any of IFFCO Tokio General Insurance authorized network garages for repair, for cashless service. Submit the require documents to the surveyor
• Company confirms liability
• If possible, opt for cashless facility, the company will settle the repair bills directly with the garage up to the amount payable
• But in case you do not opt for cashless facility, you have to pay for the repair charges and then submit the bills with claim form to the surveyor/company for settlement
